Day 1: INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL IN LIMA
Arrive in Lima, reception at the airport by our Andean American Tours’ representative and transfer by private car to the hotel on the way you will receive a briefing on your tour; vouchers covering all the services included in your tour and additional information on the organization of your trip . Overnight in your selected hotel. No meals included.
Day 2: LIMA
Breakfast in your hotel.
In the morning visit of Lima, colonial and modern areas: Plaza Mayor with panoramic views of the Cathedral, Archbishop’s palace, and Government Palace, we will continue with a visit to the San Francisco Convent, continue to the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, visiting Huaca Pucllana, archaeological complex and finalizing at the Parque del Amor with a very impressive view of Lima’s coastline. Lunch at La Rosa Nautica restaurant. After lunch visit to Rafael Larco Herrera Museum. Back and overnight in your hotel. Dinner on your own
Day 3: LIMA – CUZCO: Sightseeing Tour and Visit to Nearby Ruins
Breakfast in your hotel.
Transfer from your hotel to Lima’s airport. Flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival , reception at the airport by our Andean American Tours’ representative and transfer by private car to the hotel.
In the afternoon, we will visit the City of Cusco on a guided tour visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha (Santo Domingo’s convent). Then, we drive out of the City to visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its enormous carved stones, some of them standing over 9m/30 ft high and weighing over 130 tons. Back to your hotel.

Day 4: CUZCO - Sacred Valley of the Inkas
Breakfast in your hotel.
All day excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Inkas", by the Urubamba River. The tour is best on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays (on Sundays a typical indian market can be seen) , although is available every day. Our first visit will be Pisac, Free time to shop or simply watch the locals going by their everyday lives. After the visit, we will have a buffet lunch with emphasis on locally grown organic produce in the Urubamba Valley. After lunch, a visit to Ollantaytambo, the ancient Inca town with impressive ruins built into the mountain side. Built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, and protect it from possible invasions from the tribes in the lower jungle. The Fortress consists of a series of stepped carved stone terraces accessed by long staircases. At proper time back to your hotel. Dinner on your own
Day 5:CUZCO – MACHU PICCHU on The Hiram Bingham train (Deluxe)

At proper time transfer to Poroy’s train station, where you will be welcome with a glass of champagne or a Mimosa cocktail, board this fabulous train (Hiram Bingham) for a 3 ½ hours journey to Aguas Calientes train station, brunch and complimentary drinks on board while enjoying the dramatic scenery of the Urubamba river, at arrival in Aguas Calientes station, walk for 5 minutes to aboard a private bus that will take you to the bus station for a 30 minutes ride to the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as "The Lost City of the Incas" one of the best known examples of surviving Inca architecture. You will participate in a guided private tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the visit , bus to Aguas Calientes, check in and accommodation in your selected hotel. Dinner in the hotel.
Day 6: MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO on The Hiram Bingham train (Deluxe)
Breakfast in your hotel.
Opportunity to enjoy a wonderful sunrise over Machu Picchu and some personal time for private reflection. Lunch at the Sanctuary lodge. Return to Cuzco in the evening aboard the luxury Hiram Bingham train. Cocktails followed by dinner aboard the train. Reception and transfer to your selected hotel.
Day 7: CUZCO - PUNO on The Andean Explorer train (Deluxe)
Breakfast in your hotel.
Transfer to the railway station for the wonderful trans-altiplano Inca express. Lunch onboard the "Andean Explorer" of Peru. (Alternatively, you may fly to Juliaca and then transfer to Puno). Reception and transfer to tour selected hotel. Dinner on your own
Day 8: PUNO – Lake Titicaca
Breakfast in your hotel.
In the morning, tour by boat to the island's of Uros and Taquile on Lake Titicaca. A tour of the reed islands of Uros before continuing to Taquile, where members of this self-supporting island will welcome you and offer a glimpse into their ancient traditions and customs. Typical lunch on the island and an opportunity for some spectacular views over the haunting beauty of Lake Titicaca. Return to Puno and your hotel. Dinner on your own
Day 9: PUNO – LIMA
Breakfast in your hotel.
Early wake up to enjoy a spectacular sunrise before heading towards Juliaca, and an excursion to the Sillustani towers. These ancient funeral towers dating back to pre-inca times are examples of the most ancient cultures found on the altiplano. After lunch, transfer to Juliaca airport for the return flight back to Lima. After the two and a half hour flight, reception and transfer to your selected hotel. Dinner in a local restaurant (transfers included)
Day 10: LIMA
Breakfast in your hotel.
Leisurely day with plenty of opportunity for shopping before your transfer to the airport and your return flight home.
